Flower Bee Art

My name is Libby.
I am originally from the UK and now live in Ontario, Canada after having defected from the UK Film Industry nearly three years ago.

I now work on an Organic Farm in Collingwood where I tend to extensive gardens, care for a veritable menagerie of animals and have a daily battle with water in its many forms.

After leaving the wilds of Wardour Street far behind me, a few things have changed aside from my hair colour and penchant for wearing little black dresses.

I have met the man of my dreams in a country that I love and on top of this, have discovered the art of painting. After having proving my worth at GCSE Art when I was 15, I went off on a rather random tangent to complete a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences, teach English in Japan and become a stellar Production Manager in the UK Independent Film Industry. The movies left me ragged-raw and I sent myself off on a much needed adventure to Canada and I have never left.

I had to return to the UK briefly in which time I took an evening class in life drawing at Truro College, Cornwall. I have never looked back. I now paint under the watchful eye of Willi Wildman, a fabulous artist from Thornbury and Michelle Fleming of the Bay School of Art. I love the study of nudes and take inspiration from the beautiful works of Klimt [below] and other such fabulous artists.

I will use this blog to post my art for people to see. If anyone is interested in any of the pieces or would like me to paint them something, do drop me a line. Contact details below.

Thank you for all your and I hope you enjoy Flower Bee Art!
